1. Free Guided Tours of the D&H Canal Five Locks Walk
When: Sunday, September 6 and Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 2:00 PM
D&H Canal Historical Society historian Bill Merchant leads free guided walks along the National Historic Landmark Five Locks Walk, featuring five restored canal locks from the 1850 enlargement. Learn the stories of the immigrants who built the 108-mile waterway that carried Pennsylvania anthracite coal to New York City and fueled America's Industrial Revolution. The half-mile trail connects to the NYO&W Rail Trail and is just three miles from the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail. No registration necessary — just show up. Rain or shine.
2. "James McEntee: Engineering the Hudson's Golden Age" Lecture

The D&H Canal Museum continues its fall lecture series with a talk on James McEntee, the engineer behind the Hudson Valley's golden age of canal and railroad innovation. The presentation explores how McEntee's engineering vision shaped the transportation corridors that transformed the region.
3. Wired Gallery: "Horizon Event" & "A Thousand Stories to Tell"

The Wired Gallery presents two concurrent solo exhibitions: Dan Feldman's Horizon Event and Lana Privitera's A Thousand Stories to Tell. 4. Woodstock Farm Sanctuary Public Education Tours

Woodstock Farm Sanctuary offers scheduled, ticketed public education tours on most Saturdays and Sundays throughout September.
